Villa Miramar
Location: Akumal, Quintana Roo, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
This magnificent private walled estate in Akumal, Mexico, on the Caribbean coast is located 60 miles south of Cancun. Miramar has spectacular views of the ocean and Half Moon Bay. Miramar is meant for guests who wish to vacation on a grand scale.
Though recently constructed, the Miramar combines old world charm and elegance with today's standards of luxury, security and convenience. Built in the Palm Beach "Mizner" style, the villa features luxurious handcarved antique furnishings from Italy, England and Mexico. Custom designed and handpainted tiles add a splash of color. Pre-Colombian artifacts from Belize create a hint of mystery and intrigue. Original oil paintings, incredible stained glass windows and oriental carpets provide an impressive finishing touch.
Of course, there is central air conditioning, a fabulous swimming pool, delightful garden, a beach area to perfect your tan, and multiple balconies and terraces all with total privacy within your walled estate.
Villa Miramar is 8,000 square feet of elegance and features a dramatic entrance hall with a 20 foot domed brick ceiling lined with ticul marble columns, arches and paintings. The huge fully equipped kitchen also has a domed brick ceiling as does the "Garden Room" which has a view of the ocean as well as the swimming pool. This area serves as a downstairs sitting room with satellite television, library, full bath and sofabed for extra guests The 40 foot living room with its sea of windows offers a panoramic view of the Caribbean.
Villa Miramar has four guest suites each decorated in a different style and with its own private bathroom, balcony and ocean view. Three bedrooms and baths are located upstairs.
The Master Suite is 600 square feet and called the "Plantation Room" with a carved wood king-size bed, sitting area with chaise lounges and a treadmill if you choose to keep up your exercise regime while on vacation.
The "Oriental Room" is decorated in gorgeous greens and reds, and overlooks the swimming pool; it has a king-size bed and antique Oriental furnishings. The "Polynesian" room overlooks the ocean and is extremely elegant with gorgeous colors, and two bamboo queen-size canopied beds. Downstairs, on the oceanside of the villa, is the "Indian Room" which is decorated with Spanish, Mexican and Mayan antiques and artwork and has two queen-size carved wood beds.
You will enjoy a level of vacation excellence that is not lost and gone forever, but increasingly hard to find. Quality of life abounds at the Miramar: Swim in the pool, bask in the sun, count the stars, feast on Mexican delicacies prepared poolside in the second outdoor kitchen, savor a sumptuous meal served on the finest Imari china by our well trained staff as you dine on your private balcony overlooking the Caribbean.
There is only one Villa Miramar, and only a few will be able to enjoy this incomparable vacation experience.
Miramar memories will last forever . . .
