This alternate energy (solar) home is conveniently located between Akumal and the Tulum ruins, roughly 10 minutes from each. Its beach setting on Soliman Bay is a great getaway for couples or small families seeking surf and sand.
The house has an open floor plan with a spacious living area, a complete kitchen, bright tiled designer bathroom, ceiling fans, two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. There is a loft with one single bed overlooking the living room and a double futon in the living area.
This beach house is decorated with various shells, mobiles and hand made textiles from Mexico and Central America reflecting some of the local culture of the Maya. Wooden shutters around the house let you open the house up to feel the tropical breezes. The open, airy circular design of this cottage make you feel as if you are outdoors even when you are inside.
