Azul Riviera is a spacious villa offering some very unique features on the Yal Kul Lagoon in Akumal. First, its location allows you to slip into the Yal Ku lagoon from your private backyard access. Others come from miles away and pay a fee to experience the clarity and abundant fishlife found in this natural lagoon. Azul Riviera's location directly on the lagoon gives you exclusive access privileges others don't have. You can spend hours paddling around in these beautiful pools, teeming with colorful marine life (wear a t-shirt; sunscreen is not allowed for ecological reasons). You can stay in the lagoon or follow along as the water connects to the ocean. Unsurpassed views from the third floor observatory deck give you panoramic views of all of Akumal. In full living color you get superb 360-degree views of the emerald green jungle, the muted green/blue shades of Yal Ku lagoon and the incredible turquoise of the Caribbean. Azul Riviera's 6,400 square feet of indoor living space is matched in outdoor living areas with palapas and patios located strategically throughout the property giving you ample room to roam. A large swimming pool along side the giant palapa patio is wonderful for a refreshing swim any time of the day or night. Inside the villa has a huge living room/dining room with cathedral ceiling and large fully equipped kitchen. Master bedroom is on the second story with view of the lagoon, a king size bed and a large private outdoor sundeck. Two downstairs guestrooms have lofts for children (1 BR has 2 doubles plus two more twin beds in the loft; 2nd BR has 1 king bed, 1 twin and two twin beds in the loft). Lofts are reached by ladder and have only a short railing around them, so not recommended for small children . . . but the big kids will LOVE these high altitude sleep areas! A 4th BR is a small children's room with twin bunk beds. Outside you can settle into a lounge or hammock in the palapa alongside the lagoon, head for the wet bar in the huge palapa near the house and stir up a batch of margaritas, or bask in the sun at your private "beach" area . . . hop in the lagoon when you need to cool off. Or, how about a dip in the private swimming pool? How refreshing! Life doesn't get much better than this. Azul Riviera is a huge property, inside and out, so you'll have plenty of living area even with a large group. This is a perfect villa for a big family or lots of friends. Bedding provides sleeping room for up to 16 people! Azul Riviera's caretakers will be happy to whip up some delicious local dishes for you for a small extra charge.
